Second-IQ is a LinkedIn profile analysis and optimisation tool. To provide our services, we analyse publicly available information from your LinkedIn profile. This section explains specifically how we collect, use, store, and delete that data.
When you use Second-IQ, we access and process publicly visible information from your LinkedIn profile, which may include your name, headline, profile photo, about section, experience, education, skills, featured content, and your profile URL. We do not collect, store, or have access to your LinkedIn password or login credentials. We do not access your private LinkedIn messages, connection lists, or any data that is not publicly visible on your profile.
We use your LinkedIn profile data solely to generate your profile audit score and analysis, produce recommendations and AI-generated rewrite suggestions, track changes to your profile over time, and benchmark your profile anonymously against profiles in your archetype. We do not use your LinkedIn data to build advertising profiles, sell to third parties, or for any purpose other than delivering the Second-IQ service to you.
We retain your LinkedIn profile data only for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services. The retention period varies depending on the nature of your account and the services you have subscribed to. In all cases, you can request deletion of your LinkedIn profile data at any time by contacting us at www.second-iq.com and we will action your request within 30 days.
Your use of LinkedIn is governed by LinkedIn's own User Agreement and Privacy Policy. Second-IQ operates independently of LinkedIn and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation. We encourage you to review LinkedIn's privacy policy at linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Marketing communications are only sent to you if you have requested or subscribed to them. You can opt out of our marketing communications at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us and your request will be actioned immediately.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We also use the information we collect in aggregated and anonymized forms to improve our services, including: administering our website, producing reports and analytics, advertising our products and services, identifying user demands and assisting in meeting customer needs generally.
Any information you choose to make publicly available, such as blog comments and testimonials on our website, will be available for others to see. If you subsequently remove this information, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages on other websites or if others have copied or saved the information.
Second-IQ uses artificial intelligence and automated processing as a core part of our service. In the interests of transparency, this section explains how automated processing works within our product and what it means for you.
Our AI system, Quinn, analyses your LinkedIn profile data and automatically generates profile audit scores for each section of your LinkedIn profile, identifies gaps and missed opportunities, produces written recommendations for how to improve each section, creates rewritten versions of your headline, about section, and experience entries, determines which professional archetype your profile currently signals, and generates benchmark scores comparing your profile to others in your archetype.
These outputs are generated by AI and are intended as guidance only. They represent the AI's analysis of your publicly visible profile data against established best practices and archetype benchmarks. They are not human assessments and should not be treated as definitive professional advice.
Under GDPR Article 22, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. The outputs generated by www.second-iq.com are profile improvement suggestions and do not produce legal effects or similarly significant consequences. If you have concerns about any output generated by our AI, you may contact us to request a human review of your audit results and we will respond within 14 days.
Our AI capabilities are powered in part by third party AI providers. These providers process your profile data solely to generate your audit outputs and do not retain your data for their own training purposes beyond what is described in their own privacy policies. We take reasonable steps to ensure our AI providers comply with applicable privacy standards and maintain appropriate data processing agreements with each provider.
We will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your Personal Data while in our possession or control. All information we receive from you is stored and protected on our secure servers from unauthorized use or access. Credit card information is encrypted before transmission and is not stored by us on our servers.
All payment processing on Second-IQ is handled by Stripe, Inc., a third party payment processor. When you make a payment, your credit card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant and handles all payment card data in accordance with applicable security standards. Stripe may collect and process your payment information, billing address, and transaction history in accordance with their own privacy policy, which is available at stripe.com/privacy. By making a payment through Second-IQ you agree to Stripe's privacy policy and terms of service. We receive confirmation of successful payment from Stripe but do not receive or store your full card details. We retain transaction records including the amount, date, and your email address for 7 years to comply with our legal and tax obligations.
To enable us to deliver our services, we may transfer information that we collect about you, including Personal Data, across borders for storage and processing in countries other than Australia. If your Personal Data is transferred and processed outside Australia, it will only be transferred to countries that have adequate privacy protections.
We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. Account data including your name and email address is retained for the life of your account plus 12 months following closure. LinkedIn profile audit data is retained for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services, with the retention period varying depending on the nature of your account and the services you have subscribed to. Payment records are retained for 7 years from the date of transaction to comply with our legal and tax obligations. Support correspondence is retained for 3 years from your last contact with us. Marketing preferences and consent records are retained until consent is withdrawn plus 3 years. Usage and analytics data is anonymised and retained for 3 years for product improvement purposes. Security and access logs are retained for 12 months for security monitoring and incident response.
At the end of each retention period your Personal Data is either securely deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be associated with you. You may request early deletion of your data at any time by contacting us and we will action your request within 30 days, except where we are required to retain the data to comply with a legal obligation.
In the event there is a breach of our security and your Personal Data is compromised, we will promptly notify you in compliance with the applicable law.
